Live Threshing Day Q&A | Fantasy FanClub
Evaluation and Summary
Fantasy Fangirls presents a segment from their live Q&A session held within their paid Fantasy FanClub community, focusing on discussion of 'Threshing Day'—a major event from Rebecca Yarros's Empyrean Series. The episode covers material from across the series including Fourth Wing, Iron Flame, Onyx Storm, and the Threshing Day storyline itself. The show notes indicate this is a curated excerpt from a longer live event, positioned as exclusive content for FanClub subscribers (starting at $6/month). The episode runs 22 minutes and includes full spoilers for all mentioned books. Beyond the basic premise, the show notes provide no detail about specific questions asked, topics covered, guest expertise, or what insights the hosts offered about the Threshing Day event or the broader series. The notes heavily emphasize promotional elements: multiple links to join the FanClub, merchandise shop, Amazon affiliate link, newsletter signup, and upcoming events (ACOTAR trivia, release parties, and LandCon convention in Scotland). The hosts appear to run a multi-podcast network including Fantasy Fanfellas and Fantasy Fanreads, suggesting an established fan community platform.
Verdict: A niche fan community offering with unclear substance; useful only for existing Empyrean devotees willing to pay for FanClub access, but the show notes reveal nothing about the actual discussion quality or insights.
